Michael Worley is a principal at MDW Communications, specializing in online marketing, brand development and social media engagement. He has worked with clients across the United States and has communication experience in a variety of sectors, including political, retail, health care and non-profits. Michael also specializes in online marketing solutions for the premium cigar industry.
Some of his featured work includes social media management for La Palina Cigars, a national premium cigar brand, StreetRebuttal.com, a political discussion site, and WETA Public Broadcasting in Washington, DC.
Previously, Michael served as the National Communications Director for the College Democrats of America (CDA), the youth arm of the Democratic National Committee. In this capacity, Michael oversaw the expansion of CDA’s online marketing efforts and developed a robust social microtargeting strategy that increased CDA’s overall reach by 22,000 in less than 11 months. He also served as the official spokesman for CDA in the media, with television appearances on CNN, C-SPAN and Germany’s Phoenix TV.
Additionally, Michael was a 2011 recipient of the National Media Fellows Scholarship and a 2010 national finalist in the Washington Media Scholars Case Competition for strategic media planning. He is also an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor recipient.
